Core Values

A

t Revolution of Change Church, our core values are directed toward making our lives, church, and community Christ-centered.  These values work together to accomplish the Great Commission of the Christian Church: "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:19-20, NIV)

To accomplish this purpose, the Revolution of Change Church seeks the following core values: Intimacy with God, Community, Outreach, Discipleship, Leadership, Cultural Relevance, and Christian Multiplication.

Intimacy With God

T

he Father's plan of salvation is being carried out so that we can have relationship with God. Jesus Christ gave the ultimate sacrifice of giving His life on the cross to both take the judgment for our sins and set us free in Him. The Holy Spirit continues the plan of salvation by residing in us, revealing God's love to us and showing us the magnificent plan God has for each of us. Intimacy with God deepens our relationship with Him. It is the foundation of everything we are and everything we do.

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. (Jeremiah 29:11-13, NIV)

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. (John 3:16-17, NIV)

Come near to God and he will come near to you. (James 4:8, NIV)

Community

C

ommunity is a key component to making the church relevant and life-changing to its members. Revolution of Change always seeks to provide an atmosphere of love, unity, and friendship for all those we come into contact with. We strive to make sure that we meet the practical, relational, and spiritual needs of the people so we can foster a healthy and growing body for the glory of Christ.

All the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:44-47, NIV)

'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' (Luke 10:27, NIV)

Outreach

T

he Church is the only organization that primarily exists for the sole benefit of its non-members. Jesus, God incarnate, established the Church to reach those who do not have a reconciled relationship with God. Jesus' life was spent in service to the poor, the downtrodden, the weak, and those with no hope. Through His outreach, He brought hope, joy, and eternal life to those that had none. Revolution of Change continues this outreach with a passion and burden for reaching those who do not know the freedom of a restored relationship with the Living God through Jesus Christ.

Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.". (Matthew 9:35-38, NIV)
